It's been too cold for a good walk lately—only 40°. Yes, I know I'm a wimp, but I live in California. My first winter here, we couldn't believe people were wearing coats and gloves. Now I'm one of them. This is a view from my house.
These lovely goodies arrived yesterday. I plan to sew a project for a friend out of the book. I'll post it when I'm done. The inks will have to wait until my office is back together. The flesh color was a mistake, but they're sending the right color—flame orange. Can't wait.
I just had to share these two adorable books I saw the other day. I love the personality of the main characters. Katy Duck illustrated by Henry Cole and It's Spring! illustrated by Melissa Sweet. My boys weren't interested in them, but I may have to add them to my collection anyway.
I've been intrigued by all the hype about Red Velvet cakes. I decided to try this one at Starbucks. It has a chocolate truffle inside. I have to say I wasn't impressed, but I'm still open to trying other Red Velvet cakes/cupcakes. I won't judge them by this one.Have a happy Hump Day!

I know just what you mean about the cold ~ I am a Florida girl! This has been a cold winter as far as we're concerned and for a while there it was way too cold & windy for walking let alone riding my bike. But this week have been beautiful and I have ridden my bicycle every morning. I love it!
AND, I just started sewing and look forward to seeing what you make. I have so far made a seat cushion cover that didn't turn out too badly... just don't expect to see me on Project Runway anytime soon!
